Playworks has been delivering play training in Nottingham for over 25 years and we’ve had some very exciting news recently!

We’ve been awarded funding worth £40,000 to develop and deliver a comprehensive play training programme for Nottingham, including free training courses open to individuals and organisations. The funding will also enable us to acquire the SkillsActive training licence.

SkillsActive is the national Sector Skills Council for the play sector and through training providers like us it aims to ensure that play organisations can access the training, qualifications and continuous professional development support they need to keep their workforce appropriately trained – including volunteers and paid staff.

The programme will aim to train volunteers as playworkers as well as boosting the skills of paid staff and professionals from schools, nurseries, charities and community groups for instance.
