Hello readers!
Well the day has been and gone and it's time to fill you in on how everything went.
Firstly, and most importantly, I raised £126, which is the highest amount I've ever raised, so a big thank you to everybody who contributed; I'm not sure how to repay you, but I owe you a drink at least so please do remind me of that!
Secondly, the race itself; as you know it was 10 Kilometres (6.2 miles), I ran most of it with a rib injury (which goes to show just how fit I was training, and going into the race) so the last couple of kilometres was difficult. But overall I had fun doing it and recorded a personal best of 53:00 (fifty-three minutes zero seconds). Though not for myself personally, there was a lot of support there compared to last year, so that addition of atmosphere and support was a big help and really nice to see (and hear). It also goes without saying that the biggest motivation of all was the cause, and I hope the money is of significant use as possible to the Playworks team, after all they deserve it for doing such an amazing job!
Here's a few pictures from the event for you to laugh at:

I (pictured to your right) found it slightly easier copying the lady in front during the warm up, rather than the instructors on stage*

Thanks for reading everyone!
Til next time
Matt
