Creating Child Friendly Communities |

This is a regional conference on Friday 19th March 2010 (9.30am - 4pm)
Delegates from all over the East Midlands will gain a better understanding of children and young people's play and informal recreation and how they can work together to support more child friendly communities.
The conference is essential for professionals and community or voluntary sector workers who have a role in creating child-friendly play spaces and activities in their local communities.
The day's programme will include;
- Keynote speeches from Adrian Voce, director of Play England and Wendy Russell, Senior Lecturere in Play Work at Gloucester University;
- Workshops on a range of subjects;
- Site visits to some of the innovative play projects in Nottingham City

We have updated our stock of library items and they are now available to all Playworks members. The books cover a range of issues from craft and art ideas, to play guidelines. The Play Action Network (PAN) was successfully re-launched in December 2008. PAN is a partnership of organisations / individuals that have an interest in developing children’s play in the city.

Membership to Playworks entitles you to access the scrapstore, receive the Play News updates and be a part of our wider network promoting the ethics of quality play provision. The Playworks annual membership fee for a group is calculated based upon the following bandings and the scrap store prices for each type of group are also listed below.
